("Painting of the resolution which happened on 19 April 1810 in the city of Santiago de León de Caracas, now the capital of the Republic of Venezuela. The tumult took place between the façade of the Cathedral Church and the balustrade on the eastern side of the plaza. The persons right next to the Captain General are the illustrious council members, who pressured him to go to the Council Hall where the Glorious Revolution, which has given independence and freedom to nearly half-a-world, was sealed.") |
