In accordance with what was defined in Decree-Law No. 2,457 of March 31, 1947 regarding the state flag, in which the branches are defined as one of yerba mate and one of araucaria. The recovered design is consistent with this description, while the one previously recovered is not, since its araucaria branch does not correspond to an adequate representation of an araucaria branch.
