Etmopterus lucifer és una espècie de peix de la família dels dalàtids i de l'ordre dels esqualiforms.

Morfologia

Alimentació

Menja principalment calamars, petits peixos osteïctis i gambes.[6]

Reproducció

És ovovivípar[7] i neix amb una llargada de 15 cm.[8]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí d'aigües profundes que viu entre 150-1250 m de fondària.[4][9]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a l'Atlàntic sud-occidental (Uruguai,[10] Brasil[11] i Argentina), a l'Índic occidental (des de Tanzània fins a Sud-àfrica[12][13]), al Pacífic occidental (des del Japó[14][15][16] fins a Nova Zelanda[17][18][19][20][21]) i al Pacífic sud-oriental.[4][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30]
