Lepidocephalus thermalis és una espècie de peix de la família dels cobítids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes[4] present a l'Índia[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] i Sri Lanka.[15][16] Els mascles poden assolir 8 cm de llargària total.[16][17] Viu a zones de clima tropical entre 22°C - 24°C de temperatura.[18] Menja principalment detritus i, també, alga|algues.[19] A l'Índia és depredat per Mystus montanus.[20][21]
