Protomyctophum luciferum és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.
Morfologia
Alimentació
Sembla ésser que es nodreix de Champsocephalus gunnari.[4]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu fins als 2.000 m de fondària.[4]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a tots els oceans entre 34°S i 48°S (a l'Oceà Antàrtic entre 49°-50°S, 70°-71°E).[4][6]
