Tar Atànamir (1800-2221 S.E.) va ser el tretzè rei de Númenor (2029-2221), el regne dels edain Adel mar que apareix a les obres de J.R.R. Tolkien. Va ser conegut com a Atànamir el Gran, i el seu nom quenya significava "Joia d'Home".

Va succeir el seu pare Tar Círyatan i va continuar la seva política expansionista cap a la Terra Mitjana. Durant el seu regnat Númenor incrementà el seu poder i es convertí en una potència marítima.

Va ser el primer rei a parlar en contra de la Prohibició dels vàlar, que prohibia de navegar cap a l'oest de l'illa per que els homes no s'acostessin a les Terres Immortals. També va ser el primer rei a no abdicar a favor del seu hereu i morir voluntàriament. A partir d'ell els reis van regnar fins a la seva mort.

El seu regne se sol considerar el principi del decliu moral de Númenor.
