Ventrifossa divergens és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.
Morfologia
Hàbitat
És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 183-772 m de fondària, tot i que, normalment, ho fa entre 350-550.[4]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a Sud-àfrica, Moçambic, el sud del Japó, Taiwan[6], el Mar de la Xina Meridional (a prop de Hong Kong)[7][8], les Filipines[9] i Borneo.[4]
