Reproducció

És ovípar amb larves i ous planctònics.[3]

Depredadors

A les Illes Kurils és depredat per Pleurogrammus monopterygius[4] i a Rússia per Bathyraja maculata, Bathyraja matsubarai i Bathyraja parmifera.[5][6][7]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 0-1.500 m de fondària.[1][8]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al Pacífic nord: Japó[9] i des de les Illes Kurils, la Península de Kamtxatka i el Mar de Bering[10] fins al Golf d'Alaska[11] i la Península de Baixa Califòrnia. .[1][12][13] [14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]
