Somileptus gongota és una espècie de peix de la família dels cobítids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.[4]
Morfologia
Hàbitat
Viu a zones de clima tropical entre 18°C - 22°C de temperatura.[7]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a l'Índia,[8][9] Bangladesh[10] i el Nepal.[11][5]
