En el marc del llegendari concebut per J.R.R. Tolkien, Béleg va ser el segon rei d'Arthedain, un dels regnes dels dúnedain del nord de la Terra Mitjana que va sorgir de la divisió d'Àrnor.

Era fill d'Àmlaith d'Arthedain, i va pujar al tro després de la mort del seu pare el 946 de la Tercera Edat.

Durant el seu regne, es van veure per primera vegada els hòbbits, que van entrar a Eriador travessant les Muntanyes Boiroses. La majoria dels que van arribar eren peupilosos.

També durant el seu regne Sàuron va tornar a aparèixer al Bosc Llobregós, després d'haver estat derrotat al final de la Segona Edat.

Béleg va ser succeït pel seu fill Màllor.
