Romendacil (pronunciat Ro-mén-da-cil) va ser el vuitè rei de Góndor, el regne del sud de la Terra Mitjana fundat pels Numenoreans a l'exili que apareix a l'obra de J.R.R. Tolkien.

El nom que rebé al néixer va ser Tarostar. Com a príncep hereu del seu pare, el rei Ostoher, va liderar l'exèrcit que plantà cara als orientalencs que atacaven Góndor. Després de diverses batalles, va acabar expulsant-los i salvant Góndor. Des d'aleshores va fer-se conèixer com a Romendacil (en quenya, "vencedor de l'est"), i va ser aquest el nom que va prendre al coronar-se a la mort del seu pare, l'any 492.

Anys després els orientalencs van tornar a atacar Góndor, i va tornar a cavalcar per fer-los front. Aquest cop, però, va morir en la batalla. Va ser succeït pel seu jove fill: Turàmbar.
