Hallas va ser el tretzè senescal regent de Góndor, el poderós regne de la Terra Mitjana en la ficció literària de J.R.R. Tolkien.

Nasquè el 2480 de la Tercera Edat, fill del senescal Círion. Durant el govern del seu pare els invasors orientalencs coneguts com a balcoth havien estat derrotats gràcies a l'ajut dels éothéod. El mateix Hallas havia acompanyat el seu pare a la trobada amb Éorl el Jove, i participà en el jurament d'ajuda mútua entre els dos pobles. Arran del compromís, els éothéod s'establiren a les planes de Caleardhon, i tot i que Góndor perdé una part important del seu territori, guanyà un aliat important al nord.

Va ser Hallas el que ideà els noms sindarin de Rochand i Rochirrim pels éothéod, que amb el temps evolucionarien a Ròhan i Rohirrim.

Succeí el seu pare Círion el 2567. La guerra amb els balcoth encara no s'havia acabat, tot i que amb els nombre reduïts ja no eren l'amenaça que havien estat. En canvi, els corsaris d'Úmbar Góndor saquejaven contínuament les costes.

Va morir als 125 anys d'edat, el 2605 de la Tercera Edat, i fou succeït pel seu fill Hurin II.
